This past year seems to have been an intense one for many people. The year 2018 was full of dramatic change and clearing out of what was not working for many. It may just be the people around me, or something on a more energetic level that was happening in our universe. Either way, I am excited and eager to see what 2019 has to offer. I am going into 2019 full of gratitude, hope and love for what it may bring.
I am big on setting goals, not just on January 1st, but continually throughout the year. If you don't stop and reflect on your progress it can halt the growth process. Reflecting on minor wins or small accomplishments is the driving force to keep going, to keep growing, and to keep creating your life.
Each day is like a brand new canvas, ready for you to paint your own personal picture of what you see. Where you are and what is happening around you is nothing compared to the perspective and attitude you take regarding your circumstances. Mind over matter truly is a gift that those with inner strength posses. It is my greatest goal, and something I have seen a great deal of progress with this year, through the toughest times. You may see things very differently than the people around you and it's okay to own those moments, trust your instincts, and keep living your truth.
For me 2019 is about strengthening two chakras; my root and my heart. I have difficulty staying in one place for more than two years, but I now long to have roots. I hope to establish roots where I am, with the knowledge that I am always free to roam and move at anytime. Knowing that I maintain that freedom is key for me, otherwise I can feel trapped. My heart also needs to open up again. For me it all has to do with the basic human need for freedom and having that taken from me is one of my biggest fears. I worry about having to compromise my dreams; falling in love with someone who will matter more to me than any innate goals scares me. I've closed my heart off for awhile now, and have truly enjoyed being on my own, but I am ready to open up my heart again.
"Joy is always in process, it is under construction, it is in constant approach; alive and well in the doing of what we are fashioned to do and enjoying. The easiest way to dissect success is through gratitude. Giving thanks for that which we do have, for what is working; giving thanks for that which we do have, which we sometimes take for granted. We give thanks for these things and that gratitude reciprocates, creating more to be thankful for. It is really simple and it works."
