What is a Holistic Nutritionist?
A Holistic Nutritionist is someone trained in nutrition, but who treats the body as whole. Approaches typically used in Holistic Nutrition that tap into the mind, body and soul connection. The main goal of a Holistic Nutritionist is to educate their clients, help them get to the root cause of their illness, and not simply to treat the outward symptoms. Holistic Nutritionists teach clients about nutrition, the benefits of herbs, essential oils, dietary supplements, and lifestyle changes that can enhance their quality of life, but they do not prescribe anything. They empower their clients to apply this knowledge to their everyday lives.
What will my free consultation be like?
Generally, the initial free consultation will take about an hour, but depending on the client and the time they have it can take up to two hours. During that time you will be asked to complete a Value Assessment Questionnaire, as well as a Nutritional Assessment form and answer a series of questions regarding your current diet, eating habits, and lifestyle. At this time we will also discuss your goals and what you are hoping to achieve with your your counselling sessions. The client will be given some general information that may help them get started towards their health goals, and their is no pressure to commit to any further consultations.

My philosophy to health and wellness is grounded in simplicity, authenticity and wholeness, and I believe in collaborating with clients to find solutions that fit their lifestyle and values.
I am a certified Registered Health Coach and a Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner. I work with clients to create intentional wellness habits and teach them about how nutrition can help them reach their personal goals. Each program is designed specifically for the goals and lifestyle of the individual. I apply a wide range of techniques from: core value setting, dietary changes, herbal remedies, mindfulness practices and various other healing modalities to create a unique plan for each client.
The service I provide is that of an overall wellness coach, and is not limited to nutritional advice and planning because that is just a piece of the puzzle. Nutritional program creation is a service I can provide, but my focus is more on educating clients and helping them create habits and strategies to create a healthy and thriving lifestyle.
